Toyota Crown Majesta Review: The Secret JDM V8 Limo
By Stuart Ellis · 5 December 2025 · 14 min video
Toyota's Japan-only flagship and the last V8 Crown. It rivals a 5 Series or E-Class for used-Camry money. Here's what a 2010 G-Type F Package is like to live with in Australia.
The verdict
A four-seat V8 lounge on wheels. It's quiet, beautifully built and still tight after 167,000km, with a rear seat that feels like a first-class pod. It's a fantastic daily or weekend cruiser if you do your homework on parts and infotainment. Look elsewhere if you want a hardcore driver's car.

- Import-only parts can be harder and costlier
FAQ
Is the Crown Majesta reliable?
Toyota's V8 is reliable if maintained. Import-only parts like body panels, air suspension and screens are the bigger consideration.
Can you get Apple CarPlay in a Crown Majesta?
Yes, via aftermarket retrofit kits.
Should I replace failed air suspension with coilovers?
I wouldn't. It's a luxury car and the air suspension is a big part of its appeal.
